Co-owners Jeff and Jennifer Jacobs have a combined 25 years of experience in the business sector managing projects for several Fortune 500 companies. This means that we treat building homes like the important projects they are – the center of our customer’s lives. We have the experience to manage timelines and budgets tightly with the professional communication and follow-through that our customers deserve. Our business experience and professionalism when coupled with our passion to preserve the “look and feel” of the beautiful area surrounding our homes is what sets us apart as custom home builders. We limit the number of homes we build each year so that each home site is carefully researched and managed with excruciating attention to detail, quality and geographical integrity. Jeff Jacobs – Co-Founder & President““Success Is… Knowing your purpose in life, Growing to reach your maximum potential, and Sowing seeds that benefit others.” – John Maxwell” Jeff has an exceptionally strong business background with unique experiences in both finance and project/operations management. He has an Industrial Engineering degree from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Wake Forest University. He has also successfully completed levels I and II of the CFA curriculum. His corporate track-record demonstrates his ability to streamline operations, manage complex budgets and improve the profitability of complex businesses. A former US Army reservist, Jeff began his corporate career as an equity research analyst for Greenleaf Trust, a private money management firm in Kalamazoo, Michigan. At Greenleaf, Jeff studied the fundamentals of publicly traded companies and learned what made companies successful. At the age of 28, Jeff left Greenleaf and took a job as Director of Operations within the automotive division for SPX Corporation, a publicly traded Fortune 500 corporation. At SPX, Jeff was responsible for a metal forging plant with 200 personnel and $80 million in revenues. Jeff led the design of more efficient systems that increased profitability through increasing overall throughput while cutting direct labor costs. He was also instrumental in developing strategic business relationships that lead to the reinstatement of quality ratings with Ford and won new business with a large national bus manufacturer. After graduating with his MBA from Wake Forest University, Jeff took a job as a consultant with ScottMadden, a general business consulting firm in Atlanta. During his time as a consultant he worked with several of the largest investor owned utilities in the country and honed his skills in working with multiple project owners in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment. It was during this time when Jeff was on the road 5 days a week that he decided to follow his life-long dreams. In 2007, Jeff and his wife Jennifer started Jakestone Luxury Homes, LLC. Building allows Jeff to combine his passions of architecture and tangible results with his skill set of project management.  Jennifer Jacobs – Co-Founder & VP of Marketing & Design“Do not squander time for that is the stuff life is made of” - Ben Franklin Jennifer brings to Jakestone Luxury Homes, LLC 11 years of experience in Sales & Marketing with Coca-Cola Enterprises and The Coca-Cola Company. Her unique balance of creativity and pragmatic attention to operational detail make her a unique asset to the Jakestone team. A proud graduate of The University of Georgia, she completed both her undergraduate Journalism degree and MBA at the same time. Jennifer’s career with Coca-Cola demonstrates her energetic ability to bring a creative freshness to projects while at the same time maintaining the operational standards and quality of the most recognized brand in the world. Jennifer is excited to bring her creative talents to work in the building industry as co-founder of Jakestone Luxury Homes, LLC. Building allows Jennifer to combine her passions of history and design together with her skill set of creative project management and operational efficiency. Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing, and staying on top of the latest design trends. |
